Gotong Royong Competition Assessor Visits Pulau Panggang Urban Village

Jakarta Gotong Royong Competition Assessor visited Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, Seribu Utara Sub-district, Seribu Island.

Jakarta Environment Agency's Environment and Green Open Space Board Head, Silvana Tarigan, said the visit was aimed to assess three aspects; resident participation, environment cleanliness, and beauty.

"Today we saw that resident's participation in cleaning their area is high," she said, Friday (1/26).

She added that the assessor consisted of Jakarta Development and Environment Bureau, Jakarta Governmental Bureau, Environment Agency, Water Resource Agency, City Park and Forestry Agency, and Food Tenacity, Maritime and Agriculture Agency.

She explained that the environment cleanliness is not only rely on government, but also resident's participation.

"I appreciate Panggang Island Urban Village Head for inviting his resident and apparatus to keep the environment clean. It is hoped the achievement can be maintained," she added.

Seribu Island Vice Regent, Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan, welcomed the assessor to the island.

"The assessment is a respond from Jakarta Secretary No 100/2023 about Gotong Royong Lingkungan Asri Kota Lestari competition," he continued.

According to him, community work is a positive activity to keep harmony and unity of the resident.

"There were 3,000 people participating in community work, from resident to government side," he added.

Meanwhile, RW 05 Head, Panggang Island Urban Village, Sairan admitted routinely hold community work every Friday since many tourists come to the island on the weekend.

"We're optimistic Panggang Island Urban Village will win the competition," he closed.
